Your framed print uses four Ordnance Survey mapping series to cover four different periods  from the same area: the early/mid 19th century, the late 19th century, the 1940s and the present day.

Each of the four maps measures 16.8cm wide x 10.2cm high and are presented in an elegant teak-finished frame with a pale ivory mount (frame size:  54.5cm wide x 45.4cm high).

All four maps are at a scale of 1:40,000 and cover approximately 6.7 km x 4 km.  

Please note that Styrene glass is used in this frame and not glass to prevent the frame being damaged in transit and to give maximum protection to the maps.

Unusual gift for a special occasion I bought 2 of these for very different locations and people; one for a 1st Anniversary for my daughter and son-in-law who had just moved house, and one for a close friend living in a very rural location for his 60th birthday. Both were much appreciated as they showed the location of their properties in four different years and it is fascinating to see how the landscape has changed over the years. These maps are not cheap but they do make an excellent gift for a special occasion. 04 September 2012
