(Male First Name) (Male Surname) was hailed as England’s hero after he steered his team to a resounding Six Nations Grand Slam victory in Paris. The tough player, whose skills have consistently caught the eye all season, played through the pain barrier to score a hat-trick of converted tries and kick 11 penalties in England’s famous 57-3 win.

The crucial showdown at the Stade de France was no place for shrinking violets, and the officials were kept busy as the fists flew and the injuries mounted. Modest (Male Surname), (Age), revealed: “I’m glad I was able to help the team effort, especially as I played most of the match with a dislocated left shoulder after a couple of their boys did me with a cynical spearing tackle.”

(Male Surname) waved away the attempts to substitute him, going on to display his trademark kicking accuracy and strong offensive skills by scoring all the points as England ended the first half 28-0. The England Coach admitted: “(Male First Name) is the complete rugby player. His energy and vision, combined with his ability to kick the ball through the posts from anything up to 60 yards, make him a constant worry for opposing defences.”

The second half saw (Male Surname) suffer a torn medial knee ligament after a horrific challenge from the French captain. But lion-hearted (Male Surname) defied the coach and refused to leave the field, staying on to kick a defiant drop-goal and break the individual Six Nations points-scoring record previously held by superstars Jonny Wilkinson and Ronan O’Gara.

The English skipper said: "It was very physical out there and several of the lads had to come off with blood injuries, fractured skulls and the like. But (Male First Name) shunned the treatment table all afternoon and never once complained, preferring to “let his rugby do the talking.”

(Male Surname) helped himself to penalty after penalty in the closing stages as France’s Grand Slam ambitions ended in humiliation. The devastated French captain said: “Our starting fifteen is packed with quality and can beat any side on its day. But today we were completely outclassed. (Male Surname) beat us single-handedly. Well, he had to, after a dreadful tackle from our prop forward left him with a haematoma in his upper right arm.”

Crowd favourite (Male Surname) vowed not to rest on his laurels, pointing to vital encounters coming up against the Big Three nations of the Southern Hemisphere. He said: “Hopefully some of the lads will be out of hospital by then. But if not, I’m confident I can beat New Zealand on my own.”
