Personalised Football Calendar - Fulham

Great Gift Idea For Fans Of The Cottagers!

Fulham has a long tradition of terrific players and as a result, the Cottagers have enjoyed successful periods within football's top flight. Things haven't always been easy for the team though, especially when the Cottagers faced financial crisis and relegation to the bottom division. However, this London club has never hidden from a challenge! It has bravely fought relegation, the threat of losing it's stadium, and even controversy surrounding the official Fulham mascot - Billy the Badger! After amusing fans by trying to have a cheerful chat with former Chelsea manager Avram Grant, Billy soon found himself in trouble with officials when he displayed his breakdancing skills on the corner of the pitch during a game. Unfortunately, the referee was not impressed and he soon reached for his red card!

Our Personalised Football Calendars are a great gift for fans of the club, as they are unique, a great sports memento and they are also a fascinating read. Featuring twelve reproduced match reports from our newspaper archives, Fulham supporters can learn more about their favourite team, whilst also keeping track of their schedule.

Calendar Highlights

Match reports featured in these special A3 Calendars begin in 1908, when 41,000 fans watched Fulham beat Manchester United 2-1 at Craven Cottage during the club's first year in the Second Division. The Calendar Gift then moves forward to the 1930s, reporting firstly on the 3-2 FA Cup win against Chelsea in 1936 - which was part of Fulham's run to the semi-finals - and then the 3-5 mauling of Manchester City, just before the outbreak of the war.

When football eventually returned to normal after the fighting had ceased, the Cottagers soon had success to celebrate. In 1949, Fulham beat West Ham in one of their final games of the season. In doing so, they clinched the Second Division Championship and promotion to the top flight for the first time in the club's history.

Although Fulham would sadly fall out of the top league over the coming years, success would eventually return to the club. Our Personalised Calendar features two further reports on promotion triumphs, from 1982 and 2001 respectively.

In 1982, Malcolm MacDonald managed the team to third place finish in Division Three and subsequent promotion. This result was finalised in a tense 1-1 draw against Ipswich. In 2001, Fulham won the Championship with a record number of points following a 1-2 win against Huddersfield. The Cottagers had guaranteed an emotional elevation to the Premiership and this was viewed as the ultimate reward for the years spent fighting to bring the club back from lower leagues and financial crisis.

Thoughtful Gift My boyfriend is an avid Leicester City Football Club fan and after receiving the personalized calendar, he immediately took it to his office to hang. This is an excellent gift for someone who not only loves their team, but also appreciates the history of the team. 15 January 2013
good product I was pleased with this product although I must say it was much smaller than I thought it would be. The measurements were probably on it but I missed them. This said I thought it was a good item. The newspaper headings were presented very well and I was pleased to say that I remembered some of them. A great present for the old and young alike. 15 January 2013
Wonderful surprise stocking filler! The calendar was for my husband who has been a DCFC fan for many years. As it was totally unexpected, he was thrilled with the gift, and the personalisation of his name on the front was an added bonus. The quality was good, and it was nice to read about the games in years long gone by, many of which he attended. 15 January 2013
Fun Present Great inexpensive idea for a christmas gift for that 'someone who you can't think of a present for'. Fair quality. 15 January 2013
